Quality Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Mesquite, Texas, USA; onsite in a manufacturing environment

Salary: $22–$25 per hour

What you will do

• Support projects that reduce manufacturing waste, rework, batch failures, and material losses.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data on process performance, waste, rework, and batch failures.
• Identify trends and recurring issues across products, process steps, shifts, and other relevant factors.
• Support root-cause investigations using 5 Why, Pareto analysis, and fishbone diagrams.
• Help develop corrective and preventive actions and track their effectiveness with Operations and Quality teams.
• Document findings, action plans, results, and project presentations while conducting observations on the manufacturing floor.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Food Science, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment.
