Field Service Engineer (Mechanical & Electro-Mechanical Systems)

Location: Home-based in Dallas, Texas, supporting customers throughout Texas; daily field travel and approximately 75% routine overnight travel are required.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, installation, and commissioning at customer facilities.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in testing equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to customers.
• Complete service documentation, field reports, and expense reports.
• Follow company and customer safety procedures while maintaining professional customer relationships.
• Support customers throughout Texas and travel to other regions for training, customer support, or special projects.

Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in engineering technology, electronics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field; military technical experience or trade school training may substitute.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Comfort working with Windows-based computers and technical software.
• Strong organization, communication, customer service, and independent working skills.
• Ability to travel daily throughout Dallas and Texas, with approximately 75% routine overnight travel.

Nice to have

• Previous field service experience.
• Preventive or corrective maintenance experience with electro-mechanical or servo-hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with materials testing systems, industrial automation, or controls.
• Experience delivering hands-on and classroom technical training to customers.
