Field Service Engineer (Clinical Diagnostics)

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States; candidates must reside within the assigned territory or be able to relocate there. The role is remote from home but requires 80% field travel, service within the assigned geography, periodic overnight travel, and travel to other areas.

Salary: $36–$40 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on clinical chemistry, immunoassay, and laboratory automation systems.
• Provide efficient customer service and technical training on Beckman Coulter products.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal records, order repair parts, and meet service cycle times.
• Use OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning and team objectives.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders and help train newer Field Service Engineers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required; applicable military experience may be considered.
• At least 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, or instrumentation.
• Current valid driver’s license and a good driving record during the last three years.
• Ability to reside within the assigned Chattanooga territory or relocate there, travel extensively, and work periodic overnight trips.
• Ability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform frequent bending, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or sitting.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventive maintenance, modification, or service repair experience.
• Experience building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and improving customer satisfaction.
• Technical college education in biomedical technology, engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
