Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Quantum Computing Hardware)

Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States; Workplace: On-site

Develop quantum computer hardware through science and technology programs.

What you will do

• Support value stream mapping and process design for quantum computer hardware.
• Develop processes for bill-of-material creation, single-source-of-truth management, and engineering change management.
• Assist with the integration of a new product lifecycle management system.
• Review quantum computer designs for cost, test, and manufacturability opportunities.
• Research and evaluate manufacturing processes, operations, and support systems for improvements.
• Work between scientists and engineers in a cross-functional, matrix reporting structure.

Requirements

• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree and graduate after December 2026.
• Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or a worker granted asylum or refugee status.
• Due to national security requirements, candidates must not be nationals of the People’s Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen.
• Good verbal and written interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take initiative, work with little supervision, and manage competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree studies.
• Experience with design for test, design for cost, or design for manufacturability.
• Experience in systems engineering, physics, lasers and optics, electrical engineering, or a closely allied field.
• Experience with product lifecycle management or enterprise resource planning software.
