Backend Engineer, Security Platform

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. Person status required

Salary: $150,000–$215,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Implement, evolve, and drive adoption of core platform permission infrastructure and shared backend services.
• Lead mission-critical projects that build and scale authentication and authorization capabilities.
• Develop standardized security platform solutions for cross-product challenges with engineers across the organization.
• Collaborate with compliance and mission stakeholders to define and enforce access control, data protection, and system integrity standards.
• Influence architecture, technology selection, and engineering standards across the company.
• Solve complex, high-impact problems in security platform and infrastructure systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Hands-on experience building identity and access management systems used by other product teams.
• Strong system design skills with the ability to balance performance, reliability, scalability, and cost.
• Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives and driving adoption through influence.
• Security-first mindset and comfort working with high discipline in sensitive environments.
• U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.
