Inspector (Civil Engineering)

Location: Based out of the Langley office, British Columbia, with field work across the Lower Mainland

Salary: $70,490–$102,500 annually

What you will do

• Complete and report on-site inspections for road, utility, stormwater, erosion, and sediment-control projects.
• Prepare and update as-constructed field record drawings and maintain accurate construction records.
• Evaluate constructed works, track schedule variances, and prepare progress payment certificates.
• Notify Project Managers and Contract Administrators of potential issues and coordinate with municipal inspectors and external agencies.
• Coordinate with contractors and assist with construction administration and contract management.
• Prepare construction details, quantity take-offs, and construction cost estimates in the office.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of inspection experience in a civil engineering environment.
• Degree or diploma in Construction Inspection, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience and comfort working in an active construction setting.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for travel to job sites.
• Familiarity with the tendering process, construction contracts, and MMCD.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Registration as an AScT, C.Tech, EIT, and/or CPWI.
