Project Manager (Energy & Utilities)

What you will do

• Lead complex projects from scope definition and delivery planning through implementation, operational handover and closeout.
• Establish project objectives, governance arrangements, deliverables and measurable success criteria.
• Build integrated plans covering milestones, resources, costs, dependencies, risks and implementation activity.
• Coordinate business operations, technology, finance, procurement, specialist services, suppliers and external delivery partners.
• Provide reporting for programme leadership and steering groups, facilitate governance meetings and prepare decision papers.
• Lead readiness, communications, training, transition, lessons learned and benefits realisation activities.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant project management experience in a complex delivery environment.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary change in an enterprise, regulated or operationally critical setting.
• Strong capability in project planning, scheduling, financial control, dependency management, RAID activity and change control.
• Experience with formal governance, reporting, approvals, senior stakeholder management and third-party delivery.
• Ability to interpret complex information, recommend proportionate action and communicate clearly through reports and executive updates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint or comparable planning and reporting tools.

Nice to have

• PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM, PMP or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Knowledge of energy, utilities, waste, infrastructure or another highly governed sector.
