Location: Hybrid flex-commuter role in Thousand Oaks, California, requiring 3 days on campus per week; 15–20% travel required.

What you will do
- Support the Obesity Competitive Intelligence team and act as a strategic thought partner to disease-area, brand, corporate, global, regional, and other cross-functional teams.
- Synthesize primary and secondary data into strategic insights, competitive assessments, recommendations, and points of view on market developments.
- Define business problems, develop integrated analysis plans, and manage multiple priorities, projects, customers, vendors, and data sources.
- Design and facilitate strategic exercises, competitive simulations, and intelligence collection at major medical conferences.
- Assess the reliability, accuracy, relevance, and quality of research findings and communicate evidence levels to stakeholders.
- Present in-depth analyses and recommendations while enforcing competitive intelligence legal and ethical guidelines.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree plus 2 years of consulting and/or competitive intelligence experience.
- Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree plus 4 years, an associate degree plus 8 years, or a high school diploma/GED plus 10 years of consulting and/or competitive intelligence experience.
- Strategic thinking, data analysis, project management, and the ability to manage simultaneous projects and data sources.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to varied audiences.
- Availability to work in the Thousand Oaks hybrid arrangement and travel 15–20%.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree such as PhD, MS, or MBA focused on life sciences and business.
- Life sciences consulting experience in obesity and familiarity with the biopharma industry.
- Prior obesity disease-area knowledge or project experience.
- Strategy or management consulting experience in the biopharma industry.
