Sr. Building Engineer 1st Shift-Fremont

Location: Fremont, California, United States; onsite, first shift Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Salary: $38.46–$56.25 per hour

What you will do

• Perform complex preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, lighting, fire safety, and building management systems.
• Monitor building system operations, inspect equipment, respond to emergencies, and resolve customer concerns.
• Complete specialized work including carpentry, electrical repairs, painting, roofing, welding, furniture assembly, relocation, and locksmith tasks.
• Maintain work orders, tools, supplies, equipment areas, and the professional appearance of the property.
• Prepare time and material estimates, support energy management initiatives, and help control operating costs.
• Inspect and coordinate work performed by external contractors and provide technical guidance to coworkers.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight or more years of experience in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC.
• Universal CFC certification is required.
• Additional certification or licensing in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, controls, or related systems is beneficial or may be required by local jurisdictions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and customer-service skills.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
