Business Development Engineer (Chemical)

What you will do

• Support technical business development, strategic accounts, and account managers in achieving revenue, margin, and account development goals.
• Provide technical and applications expertise during customer interactions and connect business units with sales teams.
• Develop and lead customer product trial plans, including testing criteria and success measures.
• Manage customer technical complaints and crisis situations, including line-down events.
• Identify market adjacencies, white-space opportunities, customer needs, and new product development ideas.
• Develop, monitor, and report the ATLAS sales pipeline while collaborating with technical business development teams and engineers in Mexico and the United States.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; a graduate degree and engineering credentials are preferred.
• 6–7 years of relevant industry experience is desired.
• Proficient English and Spanish, written and verbal.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, customer relations, project management, and scheduling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, organize activities, resolve technical issues, and adapt to changing customer needs.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time.
