Senior Equipment Engineer (MedTech)

Location: Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico

What you will do

• Implement, validate, troubleshoot, and improve highly automated manufacturing equipment and production lines.
• Design, select, install, and upgrade automation hardware and software, including PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and robots.
• Lead capital projects, capacity expansion initiatives, line installations, reconfigurations, technology transfers, and equipment decommissioning.
• Develop project plans, manage budgets and timelines, evaluate technical fit, and coordinate subcontractors and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Execute equipment, process, and software validations, including IQ/OQ/PQ, and support regulatory compliance and audits.
• Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement CAPA and process improvement actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience implementing and supporting highly automated manufacturing systems.
• Experience with manufacturing principles, equipment engineering, EH&S, electrical machinery installations, and productive processes.
• For critical equipment responsibilities: troubleshooting and programming PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, robots, PCs, controllers, and related devices.
• Excellent project management, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, leadership, and multitasking skills.
• Spanish communication skills and advanced English are required.
