AVP, Commercial Strategic Consulting (Fintech)

Location: HQ - San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, plus target discretionary cash and restricted stock unit bonuses of 20% each.

What you will do

• Partner with Commercial Banking leadership to prioritize and execute strategic initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and business performance.
• Analyze processes, facilitate workflow redesign, and lead business transformation efforts across multiple functions.
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, executive presentations, and strategic recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-launch evaluation.
• Identify automation and digital transformation opportunities with Technology teams.
• Define success metrics and report on project outcomes, operational performance, risk, and business impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in management consulting, commercial banking, financial services, strategy, business transformation, or operational excellence.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, process improvement, and business transformation projects.
• Knowledge of risk management, controls, governance, and regulatory requirements in financial services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Lean or Six Sigma, digital transformation, and workflow automation.

Nice to have

• Commercial banking or Big 4 consulting experience.
• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
