Aerospace Software Engineer (C++)

Location: United States work authorization is required for ITAR-regulated space technology; the role supports vehicle testing and launch operations.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership across the flight software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and integration.
• Design, implement, and maintain high-reliability C++ software for launch vehicles and spacecraft.
• Develop and maintain internal software tools using Python.
• Collaborate with engineering groups to meet functional, performance, and program requirements.
• Support vehicle testing and operational events, including launches.
• Follow aerospace software processes, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and C++.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, or similar experience.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems, software, and Linux.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements and strict deadlines.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Government authorizations under ITAR.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of aerospace software engineering experience.
• Experience with data path pipelines, state machines, arithmetic operations, and CI/CD pipelines for C++ software.
• Experience interpreting and dispositioning C++ static analysis results.
