Flight Software Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Munich, Germany or Turin, Italy

What you will do

• Own requirements for a specific spacecraft subsystem.
• Implement flight software modules for the subsystem.
• Write clean unit tests and conduct integrated tests.
• Contribute to a high-fidelity spacecraft simulator and collaborate with the GNC team.
• Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, and other engineering teams.

Requirements

• Strong C++ skills, including C++14 or higher, plus C or Embedded C experience.
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with GDB or LLDB debuggers.
• Good understanding of mathematics and physics, with strong attention to detail, quality, and testing.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and build systems.
• Knowledge of safety-critical and real-time-critical software, RTOS, communication protocols, and serialization.
• Experience with automotive or flight software frameworks and standards such as AUTOSAR, ECSS, or DO-178.
