Salary: $115,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Develop application software for real-time operating systems and embedded Linux.
  • Develop hardware drivers for IMUs, star trackers, reaction wheels, and other spacecraft sensors and actuators.
  • Build and maintain unit tests within a continuous integration framework.
  • Collaborate with hardware-in-the-loop test engineers to verify integrated software and hardware functionality.
  • Define, document, and validate requirements with systems and embedded systems engineers.
  • Participate in code reviews, PDR/CDR design reviews, and on-orbit and interplanetary flight operations.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
  • 5+ years of applicable embedded software development experience.
  • Proficiency in C and C++.
  • Experience with RTOS or embedded Linux.
  • U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR eligibility and applicable U.S. work authorization requirements.

Nice to have

  • Active U.S. Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Advanced degree or experience with Rust.
  • Experience with CAN/CAN-FD, UDP/TCP, and embedded systems.
  • Experience developing software for autonomous vehicles in harsh environments, including satellites.
