Salary: $67,000–$110,600 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentives

What you will do

• Investigate workers' compensation claims, assess policy coverage and compensability, and communicate with insureds, injured workers, medical providers, and other parties.
• Establish and update reserves, evaluate causal relationships and damages, and document claim exposure and action plans.
• Manage claims toward return to work, appropriate medical treatment, benefit resolution, file closure, or reassignment.
• Collaborate with medical case managers, legal specialists, and other internal resources on litigation, Medicare Set-Asides, offsets, subrogation, fraud evaluation, and settlement strategies.
• Prepare required letters and state filings within statutory deadlines and manage litigation toward optimal outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements, including structured settlements or annuities where appropriate, and maintain required insurance licenses and continuing education.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of workers' compensation claim handling experience or successful completion of a workers' compensation trainee program.
• Experience with workers' compensation products, jurisdictional requirements, insurance contracts, investigations, legal and regulatory rules, medical conditions, reserves, valuation, and settlement techniques.
• Analytical, communication, negotiation, planning, organizing, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to present claim resolutions clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Insurance license acquisition and continuing education may be required according to state and hirify.global requirements.
