Claims Case Manager (ComEd Territory)

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois; hybrid schedule with in-office work required at least three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The role also requires extended hours and on-call coverage for storms, emergencies, and significant events.

Salary: $65,600–$90,200 per year, plus a 10% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Investigate and manage third-party bodily injury, property damage, fatality, auto, fire, gas, environmental, and other claims.
• Respond to incident scenes and provide 24/7 on-call emergency, storm, and significant-event coverage.
• Collect, preserve, and evaluate evidence; interview claimants, witnesses, employees, contractors, and other parties.
• Assess liability, damages, claim values, reserves, financial risk, and potential subrogation recovery.
• Prepare investigation reports, claim documentation, case summaries, and analysis.
• Partner with Legal, Litigation, internal stakeholders, and external experts to negotiate, litigate, and resolve claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field plus 2–4 years of relevant claims, insurance, investigation, or utility experience; alternatively, 3–6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• 5–7 years of relevant claims, insurance, and/or utility experience.
• Active claims adjuster license, if applicable to the position location.
• Ability to perform comprehensive field and internal investigations and manage a heavy caseload at a rapid pace.
• Availability for extended hours and on-call emergency and storm coverage.
• Ability to work in the Oakbrook Terrace office at least three days per week.
