Location: Must be based in or able to work from the New York City office (Hybrid)
Salary: $131,000–$169,000 per year

What you will do
- Supervise and support a small claims team, providing daily direction and performance coaching.
- Manage an active caseload of complex, litigated, and high-severity claims from notice to closure.
- Review coverage decisions, reserves, and settlement recommendations for accuracy and consistency.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for difficult claims, coverage disputes, and customer concerns.
- Conduct regular file audits and quality reviews to drive team performance improvements.
- Coordinate with TPAs, carriers, defense counsel, and medical providers to ensure timely resolutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Third Party Claims Administration (TPA) or PEO claims.
- Proven experience mentoring, training, or leading peers or junior associates.
- Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation regulations across multiple states.
- Solid understanding of indemnity, medical, and expense components of claim financials.
- Proficiency with claims management systems or RMIS platforms.
- Must be comfortable working in a hybrid capacity in the New York City office.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting Return to Work programs and managed care coordination.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
- Strong background in vendor management.
