TL;DR
Lead Scheduler (Data Center Due Diligence and Preconstruction) (data center scheduling and construction due diligence): Reviewing developer schedules for hyperscale data center projects with an accent on critical path credibility, delivery dates, supply chain commitments, and commissioning timelines. Focus on setting schedule review standards, identifying hidden delivery risks, benchmarking durations, allocating review capacity, and quality-checking high-stakes findings.

Location: Preferred in San Francisco, California, or Northern Virginia; remote candidates in the United States may be considered if able to travel occasionally for site visits and team collaboration.

Salary: $170,000–$210,000 per year, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

Company

hirify.global is presented alongside Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company delivering programme, project, cost, asset, commercial, controls, procurement, and digital solutions across real estate, infrastructure, energy, and natural resources.

What you will do

  • Review developer construction schedules from the ground up, including logic, critical and near-critical paths, float, sequencing, delivery dates, power connections, and commissioning timelines.
  • Assess long-lead equipment, staffing, resource loading, permitting, utility connections, seasonal impacts, and commissioning risks behind reported dates.
  • Track schedule trends and variances, evaluate acceleration options, and distinguish effective recovery measures from cosmetic changes.
  • Set the review methodology, evidence standards, checklists, benchmarks, and quality controls for the wider schedule review team.
  • Allocate review capacity across concurrent due diligence deals and quality-check higher-stakes findings before client delivery.
  • Maintain schedule handover records, develop reviewers, and improve the templates and tools used across the discipline.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of planning and scheduling experience, preferably in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or complex technical buildings.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently review and challenge development and construction schedules, not only create them.
  • Working fluency in P6 or equivalent scheduling software, including logic, critical path, and float analysis.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or reviewing other scheduling professionals and managing competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with earned value management or comparable progress-measurement methods, plus knowledge of equipment, permitting, energization, and commissioning timelines.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to communicate difficult findings clearly while working with incomplete or outdated information.

Nice to have

  • AACE PSP or PMI-SP certification.
  • Experience with data center development, hyperscale buildings, or other mission-critical facilities.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment with a comprehensive benefits package and potential bonus eligibility.
  • Flexible working environment focused on work-life balance.
  • Remote work may be considered for suitable candidates.
  • Travel is minimal, approximately three days per month, with occasional site visits and team collaboration.
  • Work may include applicable SOX control responsibilities.
