Associate Actuary (Medicare Advantage)

Location: Fully remote within the Continental U.S.

Salary: $87,700–$157,800 per year

What you will do

• Analyze, price, and assess risks affecting Medicare Advantage financial performance.
• Support quarterly forecasting, Medicare bid target setting, and benefit-offering decisions.
• Evaluate data reports, identify trends and gaps, and recommend actions.
• Apply mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to calculate financial outcomes and develop probability tables.
• Research legislative changes and assess their financial impact.
• Create actuarial reports, participate in merger and acquisition analyses, and certify annual Medicare bids.

Requirements

• Must be located within the Continental U.S. for the fully remote role.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of actuarial experience.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or equivalent international certification required.
• Strong analytical judgment, advanced Excel skills, and basic SQL/query skills.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage financial performance, cost trend analysis, and actuarial analytics is preferred; MAAA is preferred for Medicare bid certification.

• MAAA designation for Medicare bid certification.
• Experience with AI or Copilot tools.
