Actuary Assistant (Healthcare Analytics)

Location: Hybrid role with three days per week in the Renton, Washington office. Local or out-of-state travel may be required, and work outside normal business hours may occasionally be necessary.

Salary: $92,700–$125,400 expected hiring range; $87,000–$142,000 full salary range; 10% bonus target.

What you will do

• Develop insurance data models, analytical reports, data queries, and actuarial work products.
• Manage team projects, workplans, documentation, deadlines, and communications with managers and peers.
• Develop methodologies and recommend process improvements.
• Present analytical results to customers and prepare responses to regulator and customer questions.
• Perform peer reviews and apply quality assurance standards and relevant Actuarial Standards of Practice.
• Manage work and study time while progressing toward actuarial credentials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of increasingly responsible actuarial work experience.
• In process of completing or already completed requirements for Associateship in the Society of Actuaries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and independent-work skills.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, economics, statistics, risk management, and insurance data.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and coding tools such as SQL, SAS, or Alteryx.
