Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer (Turbomachinery)

Location: San Diego, California; onsite five days a week

What you will do

• Execute turbomachinery drivetrain alignment calculations for customer project delivery.
• Perform packaging structural analysis using classical calculation methods and tools such as RISA-3D and ANSYS.
• Develop expertise in two or more mechanical analysis disciplines and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional engineering teams to define project details and complete analysis tasks.
• Manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 3–7 years of engineering experience related to torsional work.
• Experience with CAD software such as Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, or SpaceClaim.
• Experience with Excel Macros (VBA), Python, MATLAB, or a similar programming language.
• Strong mechanical design fundamentals and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; the position requires onsite work five days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of turbomachinery system applications, design, and operations.
• Experience with ANSYS, RISA-3D, and SpaceClaim.
• Basic understanding of vibration analysis.
• Ability to lead smaller development efforts and communicate technical ideas clearly.
