What you will do

• Perform structural and thermal-mechanical simulations to predict mechanical behavior, heat dissipation, stress, strain, and component or assembly failures.
• Support design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly studies for storage and memory products.
• Develop simulation workflows to verify and validate design concepts and identify design risks.
• Model engineering problems including solder joint reliability, temperature-cycling fatigue, product disassembly, and PCB strains.
• Improve simulation methods, computational efficiency, and predictive confidence through experimental test models.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams and present technical recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in mechanical engineering, applied mechanics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in simulation engineering for mechanical systems in industry or academia.
• Strong proficiency with finite element modeling tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
• Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of material properties, structural mechanics, and thermal dynamics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Design or manufacturing experience with electronic devices.
• Familiarity with storage, memory, or another high-tech industry.
• Experience with product qualification testing and simulation correlation.
• Knowledge of structural and thermal analysis best practices.
