Company

hirify.global is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, developing, manufacturing, and operating all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for sustainable air mobility.

What you will do

  • Build and update finite element models of electric propulsion engine assemblies using ANSA or an equivalent pre-processor.
  • Run linear static Nastran analyses for limit and ultimate load cases, validate results, and identify anomalies.
  • Support nonlinear structural analysis tasks in Ansys under the direction of senior engineers.
  • Post-process results in Meta, generate plots and summary tables, and prepare preliminary findings.
  • Maintain traceability between loads, geometry revisions, material properties, and analysis outputs.
  • Collaborate with design and loads teams and prepare sections of analysis reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
  • 2–4 years of FEA experience with structural assemblies, including meshing in ANSA or an equivalent pre-processor.
  • Working knowledge of Nastran for linear static analysis.
  • Experience with results post-processing in Meta, FEMAP, or an equivalent tool.
  • Understanding of stress, strain, load paths, and bolted joint behavior.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and ability to incorporate technical feedback.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to rotating machinery, powertrain, or electromechanical structural analysis.
  • Experience with Ansys nonlinear structural analysis and Python or MATLAB scripting.
  • Knowledge of composite or metallic aerospace structural analysis methods.
  • Familiarity with FAA Part 23 or Part 27 certification requirements.
  • Experience with PDM/PLM tools for version-controlled model management.

Culture & Benefits

  • Remote work arrangement.
  • Pay-for-performance compensation culture.
  • Technical development through hands-on work, code review, and mentorship.
