Full Stack Software Engineer (E-commerce)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California, or remote within the United States. Candidates residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not considered.

Salary: $127,500–$150,000 for Region 3, $138,550–$163,000 for Region 2, and $151,300–$178,000 for Region 1, depending on US location, skills, experience, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-performance web applications using React and Next.js.
• Build scalable, secure server-side functionality with Node.js for e-commerce transactions.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineering teams to deliver commerce features.
• Optimize page load times, responsiveness, SEO, and overall application performance.
• Integrate payment processing, inventory management, and other third-party APIs and services.
• Debug full-stack issues, improve production reliability, and document technical designs and best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in web development or software engineering.
• Experience with JavaScript web frameworks such as React, Angular, or equivalent, plus Node.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and ES6+ features.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, API integration, Git, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of web performance optimization, including lazy loading, caching, and image optimization.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Extensive React and Next.js experience, including knowledge of their ecosystems.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms, SEO, server-side rendering, GraphQL, or modern API design.
• Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, WCAG accessibility standards, responsive design, or Agile/Scrum.
