Lead Full Stack Engineer, Platform Services (AWS/React)

Location: Remote in the USA; employees near hirify.global offices may choose fully remote or hybrid work with in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasional travel for in-person business meetings is required. Authorization to work in the United States for any employer is required.

Salary: $168,000–$183,000 per year, adjusted based on location, experience, qualifications, and market data.

What you will do

• Set technical direction for an AWS-based platform shell that integrates data and services from multiple domains.
• Architect and build scalable full-stack solutions with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS-native services.
• Design APIs, data integration layers, reusable components, and micro-frontend or Module Federation architectures.
• Establish standards for scalability, security, observability, automated testing, performance, and operational readiness.
• Lead complex technical design discussions, cross-team planning, code reviews, and resolution of systemic reliability issues.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, operations, security, QA, and domain teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting scalable cloud-native full-stack applications.
• 5+ years of experience with modern front-end development using React and TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, APIs, data integration layers, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
• Deep experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, ECS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, AWS CDK or CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, automated end-to-end and UI testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to set technical direction across multiple teams, mentor senior engineers, communicate with senior stakeholders, and lead complex initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience with LaunchDarkly, Grafana, CloudWatch dashboards, Apache Flink, or similar stream-processing tools.
• Familiarity with ML/AI lifecycle concepts and AI-driven platform features.
• Experience as a technical lead, staff engineer, or architect setting standards across multiple teams.
