Software Engineer 2 (React)

Location: Remote in Kentucky, United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required for training or meetings.

Salary: $80,900–$110,300 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop software applications based on business requirements and organizational objectives.
• Build and maintain modern web applications with React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
• Integrate applications with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Standardize software quality assurance, oversee testing and debugging, and develop fixes.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on Azure or GCP.
• Research software-related complaints and recommend solutions for complex issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5 years of software development experience focused on modern web applications.
• Working knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Git, and application scalability.
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements, including PCI, HIPAA, and CMS standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, collaboration, and Agile development skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AEM integration, and Next.js server-side rendering.
• Experience supporting production deployments, post-release activities, performance optimization, monitoring, and observability.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, Apollo, Relay, microservices, event-driven systems, and Kafka.
