Project Engineer (Industrial Construction)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States; combination of office, fabrication shop, and active construction site environments with up to 15% travel.

What you will do

• Support project managers and superintendents with industrial construction planning, startup activities, subcontractor coordination, procurement tracking, and material management.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
• Collect and analyze project data, maintain dashboards, and prepare operational and performance reports for project teams and leadership.
• Support project controls through schedule tracking, budget monitoring, cost reporting, earned value tracking, change management, and forecasting.
• Coordinate field walks and project meetings with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and engineering teams.
• Maintain project documentation and support quality, safety, closeout, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, industrial technology, data analytics, business analytics, information systems, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in project engineering, project controls, construction management, operations analytics, project analytics, or a similar role.
• Experience with industrial construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, mechanical, electrical, structural, or fabrication projects.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data modeling, and analytical reporting.
• Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, manage multiple priorities, and work across office, fabrication shop, and active construction site environments.

Nice to have

• Dashboard and visualization experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Experience with SQL, databases, large operational datasets, ERP or project financial systems.
• Experience with forecasting, earned value management, cost engineering, report automation, or business process improvement.
