Senior Software Engineer, Front-End (React)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; based in the US with substantial overlap with the Pacific Time Zone. In-office five days per week.

Salary: $170,000–$190,000 annual OTE plus equity.

Postman is an API platform used by developers and organizations to build, test, and collaborate across the API lifecycle.

What you will do

• Develop frontend capabilities for the Postman Insights API observability product.
• Improve the user experience by prototyping, experimenting, and iterating on interface features.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering partners to specify, build, test, and deliver features.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and design decisions focused on scalability and performance.
• Help make it easier for developers to understand their systems and identify problematic API endpoints.

Requirements

• 6+ years of frontend development experience.
• Strong implementation skills and the ability to deliver efficient, high-quality code.
• A portfolio or track record of substantial projects launched.
• Experience independently delivering large portions of at least two substantial projects.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including React and TypeScript.
• Must be based in the US and have substantial overlap with the Pacific Time Zone.

Nice to have

• Experience working on a 0-to-1 product.
• Experience with data-intensive user experiences.
• Experience shipping B2B products.
