Lead Front End Engineer (React)

Location: Onsite in the Arlington, VA or Austin, TX offices, United States

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Define and implement reusable UI framework components for rapid feature development.
• Build interfaces for data investigation, analysis, real-time collaboration, task and resource planning, and data summarization and visualization.
• Work with UI/UX designers and technical leads to implement detailed designs and meet customer requirements.
• Develop complete functionality from broad requirements, including edge cases and error states.
• Provide technical direction and mentor developers through one-on-one guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 7+ years of software engineering experience; comparable experience may substitute for the degree.
• 5+ years of experience with component-based frameworks such as Vue, Ember, React, or Angular.
• 4+ years of experience developing responsive web applications and deep knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 2+ years of experience as a technical lead for an agile development team.
• Experience with AI coding tools, build tools such as Webpack or Vite, Git, Jira, and collaboration with UI/UX designers and product managers.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to TS/SCI are required.

Nice to have

• Managerial experience, API development, and proficiency with TypeScript.
• Experience with Python, Java, AWS, DevOps infrastructure, simultaneous content editing, SQL, and databases.
