Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (React)

Location: New York, New York, United States; office-first with in-person collaboration 4 days per week

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 annual base salary plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Define and evolve a shared UI design system with reusable components, patterns, and primitives.
• Shape frontend architecture covering state management, data fetching, module boundaries, and performance.
• Build and ship customer-facing features end to end in collaboration with product and design.
• Develop trusted tooling, end-to-end testing, deployment, and observability for continuous delivery.
• Use LLM-assisted development, participate in the on-call rotation, mentor engineers, and raise frontend engineering standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building and evolving a shared UI design system or component library.
• Experience with end-to-end testing and quality-focused engineering tooling.
• Strong UX instincts, a user-centered mindset, and the ability to work effectively with ambiguity.
• B.S. or higher in computer science or a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL, Playwright, and Tailwind CSS.
• Frontend ownership at an early-stage software company.
• Experience building LLM-integrated features.
• Health-tech or healthcare experience.
