Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Lackland AFB, Texas, US; onsite in San Antonio, TX five days a week

Salary: $119,574–$160,000 per year; $20,000 employee sign-on bonus

What you will do

• Develop and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure, especially EKS, as well as on-premise and portable edge infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes and improve service reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve complex issues.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, mentorship, and team leadership.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be willing and able to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• 9+ years of DevOps engineering or software development experience with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience through alternative education and experience paths.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda, Terraform, Ansible, Linux administration, and deployment management.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, or Go; familiarity with Git and Flux.
• Must work onsite at the customer site in San Antonio, TX five days per week and accommodate schedule changes as needed.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform.
