Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Flexible within the Lower 48 States; travel required 80% of the time, with a minimum of three weeks per month. Relocation is not required.

Salary: $108,500–$170,000 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Develop, evaluate, and propose engineering solutions, project scopes, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Lead capital and maintenance projects from concept through design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Create project schedules and coordinate with plant and papermill personnel.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and engineering teams during construction and project execution.
• Use AutoCAD to create layouts, general arrangements, piping schematics, isometrics, and basic civil or structural drawings.
• Troubleshoot equipment downtime and production issues and prepare data-based reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial paper, corrugating, or design engineering environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Ability to travel extensively, up to 80% of the time.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong organization and self-direction.
