Staff Platform Engineer

What you will do

• Build and evolve scalable internal platform infrastructure across public cloud, private cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Design secure, standardized, and repeatable deployment capabilities, including paved paths for software delivery.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code frameworks, reusable platform modules, internal tools, and automation.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, developer tooling, observability, resilience, and reliability.
• Design and operate highly available compute, networking, identity, and storage platforms for mission-critical engineering systems.
• Partner with engineering and security teams to establish architecture, auditability, compliance, and operational standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or site reliability engineering for large-scale systems.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating cloud or hybrid infrastructure platforms covering networking, identity, compute, and storage.
• Strong expertise with infrastructure as code and automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, developer platform tooling, and automated deployment workflows.
• Strong systems engineering background in Linux environments, distributed systems, and infrastructure automation using Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Ability to own complex platform initiatives, influence technical direction, and collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and modern container platforms.
• Experience deploying infrastructure across commercial and government cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, centralized logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, and security controls in automated infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated industries, including NIST or FedRAMP frameworks.
