Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure/Kubernetes)

Location: U.S. Remote

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 base annually, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Design, maintain, and secure the infrastructure platform hosting two global SaaS products.
• Define cloud-native architecture patterns, lead design reviews, and resolve complex platform issues.
• Own SLOs, reliability, availability, resilience, observability, capacity planning, and cloud cost optimization.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, progressive delivery, self-service tooling, and operational automation.
• Apply security and compliance frameworks including ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53.

Requirements

• 7+ years of infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering experience, including 3+ years running Kubernetes in production.
• Deep experience with Azure, Kubernetes networking, CNI, network policies, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong command of Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Programming experience with Python or Go and strong shell scripting skills with Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with large-scale SaaS operations, cloud security, systems design, incident resolution, and relevant compliance standards.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Istio or Linkerd service mesh technologies.
• Experience operating services within a FedRAMP authorization boundary.
• Experience building self-service tooling for product engineering teams.
