2027 Platform Engineering Intern (AWS/Kubernetes)

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 annual base pay, prorated for the internship period

What you will do

• Build, support, and evolve cloud platforms used by technology and portfolio management teams.
• Write and maintain Terraform and Crossplane claims for AWS infrastructure changes.
• Contribute to internal tooling and automation scripts using Python and Bash.
• Support Kubernetes/EKS clusters and GitOps deployments with ArgoCD.
• Investigate networking, DNS, connectivity, and service-health issues across AWS accounts.
• Assist with platform upgrades and collaborate with technology teams on technical requests.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Linux command-line environments.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, and HTTP.
• Exposure to Python, Bash, or a similar scripting language.
• Curiosity, willingness to investigate unfamiliar systems, and readiness to ask questions.
• Interest in cloud and platform engineering within a financial technology environment.

Nice to have

• Hands-on AWS cloud and networking experience from coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts.
• Exposure to Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or Grafana.
