Senior Platform Engineer (DevX)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States. The role involves access to ITAR-controlled information and items; the hired candidate must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export-control license.

Salary: $165,000–$200,000 per year, plus company equity.

What you will do

• Build consistent application patterns and golden-path deployment tooling for Amazon EKS.
• Enable secure AI-assisted application development and establish AI guardrails, observability, and governance.
• Lead the developer experience roadmap and create low-friction platform abstractions for engineering teams.
• Engineer resilient traffic paths using timeouts, retries, circuit breaking, failure isolation, chaos testing, and automated remediation.
• Implement end-to-end observability, diagnostics, documentation, and alerting for applications and platform services.
• Optimize performance and infrastructure cost while stewarding versioning, migrations, deprecations, adoption, and code quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building developer tooling and deployment patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one of Go, TypeScript, Python, or C#, with disciplined source-control workflows.
• Deep experience designing, developing, and deploying applications to Amazon EKS.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or GitLab, Terraform or CDK, GitOps, progressive rollouts, and policy as code.
• Experience with observability, SLOs, metrics, tracing, structured logs, L4/L7 telemetry, and end-to-end request visibility.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and evaluating AI platforms, models, and developer experience products.
