Linux System Engineer

What you will do

• Configure, maintain, tune, and optimize Linux-based compute systems.
• Develop Shell scripts and maintain automation for provisioning and operational efficiency.
• Manage NetApp, Ceph, and ZFS storage environments.
• Deploy and operate monitoring with Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus.
• Administer resource scheduling software and troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Apply networking and security best practices, including firewall configuration and access controls, while maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience with CentOS, Ubuntu, or Red Hat, including system tuning and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting and automation tools such as Ansible, PXE, and Kickstart.
• Experience with NetApp, Ceph, ZFS, Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus.
• Knowledge of Openlava or Slurm, networking, and security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Python or Perl scripting experience.
• RHCE or CCNA certification.
