Software Engineer III (GenAI)

Location: Full-time onsite role in Sunnyvale, California, United States; remote and hybrid options are not available.

Salary: $117,000–$234,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Build and integrate AI-powered agents, workflows, and automation systems using GenAI frameworks and APIs.
• Design, develop, and scale backend services, REST APIs, scripts, tools, and automation pipelines.
• Ensure backend systems meet availability, scalability, performance, and security requirements.
• Build end-to-end automation frameworks for backend, web, and native mobile platforms.
• Create test plans, test cases, and regression suites, and perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, and cross-functional teams to improve engineering productivity and resolve automation issues.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Must work onsite in Sunnyvale, California; remote and hybrid arrangements are unavailable.
• At least 5 years of experience in backend engineering, automation, or quality engineering, or the stated minimum of a bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of software engineering experience or 4 years of related experience.
• Experience with Node.js, JavaScript, Python, or similar programming languages; REST APIs; distributed systems; and backend automation.
• Experience with mobile and web automation frameworks such as Appium, TestCafe, XCUI Test, or Espresso.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, system integration, debugging, and performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience building or integrating GenAI-powered applications, agents, or workflows.
• Experience designing automation frameworks for native, web, or backend platforms.
• Experience with large-scale eCommerce, retail, or customer-facing systems.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
