Senior AI Engineer Developer

Location: Onsite at an HPE office in the United States; the listed salary applies to Texas

Salary: USD 137,000–315,000 annual base salary in Texas; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design and develop large-scale distributed systems and scalable, real-time, fault-tolerant, high-throughput message and event-driven services.
• Develop network software for hardware appliances providing zero-touch connectivity to Mist-managed networks and SD-WAN functions.
• Drive development from technology selection through product delivery in collaboration with product managers and designers.
• Improve product efficiency, scalability, and operability.
• Write functional and design specifications, implement features, and perform unit and integration testing.
• Participate in design and code reviews and guide technical design decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 4 years of experience developing large-scale software systems.
• Strong C++, Python, and/or Go development and debugging skills.
• Experience building and shipping reliable, highly distributed systems on Linux.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, problem solving, complexity analysis, and multi-threaded development.
• Experience with debugging, optimization, Agile development, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Robot Framework.
