Software Engineer III (Payroll)

Location: Sunrise, Florida, United States; required onsite three days per week

Salary: $102,300–$147,050 annual base pay, plus potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do

• Design and implement payroll features and service components from development through production.
• Implement payroll calculations, data transformations, and processing workflows covering earnings, deductions, taxes, retroactive changes, and off-cycle runs.
• Contribute to backend services, APIs, data models, and established architectural patterns.
• Investigate payroll defects and production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventative fixes.
• Write tested, reliable code; conduct code reviews; and improve logging, monitoring, error handling, and resiliency.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and platform teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep expertise in one or more of C#, .NET, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of software development practices and design patterns.
• Experience with GitHub, JIRA, cloud technologies, and DevOps principles.
• Ability to work onsite in Sunrise, Florida three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and both private and public cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and multidisciplinary leadership skills.
