Solution Consultant (IT/OT Infrastructure)

Location: United States; ideally based in the Greater Chicago Metro area. The role requires 50%+ domestic and international travel.

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 annual base compensation, plus benefits and additional incentives.

What you will do

• Develop secure converged IT/OT network solutions for industrial and enterprise customers.
• Define infrastructure requirements, create designs, bills of materials, single-line diagrams, and logical network hierarchies.
• Translate customer challenges into technical solutions with measurable business or financial value.
• Lead demos, proof-of-value activities, and proof-of-concept support through hirify.global validation labs.
• Coordinate solution handoff from design acceptance and validation to Commercial Operations and PMO execution teams.
• Support technical sales, marketing content, customer documentation, technology campaigns, and product feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or 8+ years of related experience.
• 8+ years of consultative pre-sales experience in enterprise or industrial environments.
• Proven expertise in OT/IT infrastructure design and implementation.
• Experience designing, deploying, commissioning, or maintaining copper or fiber networks and wireless or WLAN/WAN networks.
• Strong knowledge of network communication systems and related applications, with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally 50% or more.

Nice to have

• Experience with AIA MasterSpec, CAD, Bluebeam, and estimating tools.
• RCDD, DCDC, CDCP, or other ICT/IT/OT certifications.
• Experience with third-party or ecosystem partner products.
