Senior / Staff CAD BOM Quality Engineer (CATIA)

What you will do

• Own the CATIA training strategy, including forecasting needs, coordinating instructor-led sessions, and building self-paced and blended learning programs.
• Partner with engineering leads to identify skill gaps, tailor curricula, and track training effectiveness and CAD quality metrics.
• Define, standardize, and drive adoption of CAD modeling standards within 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Provide technical support for CATIA and CAD issues while coordinating with engineering, PLM/IT teams, SMEs, and third-party tool providers.
• Support 3D data exchange across tools and organizations, including secure need-to-know collaboration with external partners.
• Build and lead a team of CAD quality specialists and trainers as the program scales.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with CATIA V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE, including advanced modeling, surfacing, and assembly workflows.
• Experience developing or delivering CAD training programs at scale, with strong technical communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong understanding of CAD data quality standards, model-based definition, and PLM data management.
• Experience defining and rolling out CAD standards in 3DEXPERIENCE and partnering with IT/PLM teams and vendors on CAD tooling and automation.
• Program management experience, plus mentoring, leadership, or readiness to grow into formal people management.

Nice to have

• People management experience, especially building a team from scratch.
• Instructional design, adult learning, train-the-trainer, or certification experience.
• Experience creating self-paced or e-learning content using LMS platforms, video training, or interactive tutorials.
• Automotive or high-tech industry experience.
