Principal PR Manager (AI)

Location: Remote - United States; not eligible for hiring in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, or the surrounding areas. Approximately 20% travel is required for customer and team meetings.

Salary: $141,520–$176,900 for selected states; $149,840–$187,300 for New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California outside the San Francisco Bay Area; $166,400–$208,000 for the San Francisco Bay Area. Equity and a corporate bonus plan may also apply.

What you will do

• Lead employer brand PR through proactive storytelling about people, values, and culture.
• Develop and execute external communications for the Chief Administrative Officer, including media opportunities, thought leadership, speaking engagements, and LinkedIn presence.
• Identify and pitch media stories about customers and partners using the communications platform.
• Develop thought leadership and media coverage for social impact initiatives and organizations using the company’s products.
• Support quarterly earnings, acquisition, and industry investment announcements with Investor Relations.
• Lead PR programs, media relations, press outreach, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agency partners.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, or public relations, preferably in a high-growth or enterprise technology environment.
• Exceptional media relations experience with a record of placing stories in top-tier business and technology outlets.
• Experience advising C-suite leaders in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.
• Strong writing, editing, storytelling, business judgment, and financial communications skills.
• Strategic thinking, strong organization, calm execution under pressure, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong collaboration skills across multiple cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Interest in applying AI tools and developing innovative workflows for public relations and communications.
• Understanding of cloud communications, API technologies, data platforms, and customer engagement.
• Experience managing executive social media presence, especially LinkedIn.
• Experience in both agency and in-house environments.
