Executive Communications Writer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid attendance required at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Create executive communications across written and rhetorical formats and platforms.
• Collaborate with External Communications and subject matter experts on strategic communications moments.
• Support senior leaders in defining communications priorities and preparing for major communications events.
• Draft, edit, brainstorm, provide on-site event support, and coordinate executive responses to breaking news.
• Develop technical materials for sophisticated audiences with deep domain expertise.
• Balance collaborative execution with a strategic point of view.

Requirements

• 8+ years of high-level executive communications experience, ideally in a high-tempo, industry-shaping organization.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.
• Experience supporting senior leaders and navigating ambiguous situations with strong judgment.
• Strong operational capabilities, self-direction, and a bias to action.
• Curiosity and openness to understanding complex technical concepts, especially in AI.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Expertise in a domain relevant to Anthropic’s executives, such as science and research, products and AI architecture, enterprise and commercial strategy, or visual storytelling and brand.
• Experience shaping how emerging forces and advanced AI are changing executive communications.
