Associate Chemist - Environment Testing - LC/MS - 2nd Shift M-F

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; on-site laboratory position. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; training is Monday–Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Salary: $18–$20.90 per hour; an additional 10% shift differential may apply.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze samples from various matrices using routine analytical methods.
• Prepare samples and quality-control materials and review supporting analytical data.
• Prepare standard solutions and reagents for laboratory testing.
• Perform basic maintenance on routine laboratory equipment.
• Follow EPA, company, client, and internal QC SOPs and apply GMP/GLP practices.
• Dispose of chemical waste safely and perform work in an efficient manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may substitute.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory procedures.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.

Nice to have

• Previous laboratory experience.
• Experience with LC/MS or GC/MS instrumentation.
• Environmental science coursework or experience.
