Associate Chemistry - Environment Testing - Water Quality - 3rd Shift, M-F (Wet Chemistry)

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite, 3rd shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Monday–Friday. Training is provided Monday–Friday on the 1st shift.

Salary: $18–$20.90 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze environmental and water quality samples using approved scientific methods and standard laboratory techniques.
• Perform instrumental wet chemistry, including organic, metals, PFAS, HRMS, gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, and other assigned methods.
• Evaluate, quantify, record, and report analytical data and unusual test occurrences.
• Complete scheduled quality control samples, maintain training records, and document nonconformances and quality issues.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance, manage laboratory supplies and glassware, and maintain an orderly work area.
• Follow health, safety, quality assurance, and standard operating procedures while supporting other laboratory areas as needed.

Requirements

• BS or BA in Chemistry or a related field, an associate degree, or two years of related laboratory experience in lieu of a degree.
• Professional working proficiency in English is required, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Previous wet chemistry, laboratory, or production experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, organization, calculation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions, work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines accurately.
