What you will do

  • Lead strategic account planning for assigned healthcare systems and cardiovascular products.
  • Assess institutional needs, business performance, access barriers, and market dynamics.
  • Develop relationships with cardiology, lipidology, pharmacy, P&T, finance, quality, and clinical decision-makers.
  • Drive institutional availability and appropriate utilization across inpatient and ambulatory care settings.
  • Coordinate compliant pull-through initiatives with sales, medical, market access, reimbursement, analytics, brand, and alliance teams.
  • Present approved data and messages while providing field intelligence and recommendations to internal teams.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree plus 2 years of sales or related account management experience; or master’s degree plus 4 years; or bachelor’s degree plus 6 years.
  • Experience with healthcare sales, account management, public payors, or related healthcare buying and decision-making processes.
  • Knowledge of hospital committee structures, P&T processes, treatment and discharge protocols, DRG and hospital reimbursement, Medicare, government agencies, payor systems, and CMS policies.
  • Strong understanding of cardiology, including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes, as well as community cardiology trends.
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational data, identify decision-makers and barriers, influence stakeholders, negotiate, present, and collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to work with assigned accounts in the Minneapolis, Minnesota territory.

Nice to have

  • Three or more years of account management or public payor experience.
  • Advanced degree such as MPH, MBA, or PharmD.
  • Clinic, hospital, dyslipidemia, heart failure, access environment, competitor, or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • District management experience.
