Market Manager (Fleet Operations)

Location: On-site in Detroit, Michigan; must be based in Detroit or willing to relocate to the United States ahead of launch. The operation requires early mornings, evenings, weekends, and 24-hour shift coverage.

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 base salary annually, plus an annual performance bonus and stock option grant.

What you will do

• Launch hirify.global’s Detroit market by securing the operating facility and lot, establishing local workflows, and building a vendor network.
• Coordinate licensing, registration, inspections, vehicle delivery, maintenance, repair, towing, cleaning, fueling, and charging operations.
• Recruit, onboard, and activate the first driver cohort, then develop a repeatable driver supply process.
• Hire, train, manage, and develop the local operations team.
• Own day-to-day fleet operations, including dispatch, scheduling, vehicle availability, maintenance, safety, and driver performance.
• Scale the market by expanding driver supply, fleet size, shift coverage, service area, and demand while managing the operating budget.

Requirements

• Based in Detroit or willing to relocate to Detroit ahead of launch; the role is on-site in market.
• At least 4 years of experience in operations management, business consulting, or a comparable operating role.
• At least 2 years of direct people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and team development.
• Direct experience launching and operating a new market, site, facility, branch, region, or line of business.
• Strong data analysis, communication, decision-making, and business ownership skills.
• BA/BS or equivalent practical operating experience, plus a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice to have

• Experience in rideshare, last-mile delivery, car rental, vehicle leasing, or another vehicle-heavy operation.
• Experience with Uber, Lyft, or similar platforms.
• Founder or early-employee experience.
• Familiarity with the Detroit metro market, including vendors, labor, and geography.
