Operations Manager II, Fleet Transportation

Location: Onsite at 5200 Inner Perimeter Rd, Valdosta, Georgia 31601, United States

Salary: $84,000–$126,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and manage transportation associates and leaders, including performance feedback and team development.
• Implement the transportation business plan and deliver production, safety, and quality goals.
• Maintain compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and logistics procedures.
• Analyze transportation metrics and business reports to identify and implement operational improvements.
• Forecast staffing and transportation workload, resolving emerging operational issues.
• Support efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction across transportation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 1 year of relevant operations, distribution, supply chain, or retail experience supervising and developing managers or supervisors; or an equivalent Walmart experience pathway.
• Alternatively, 3 years of relevant operations, distribution, supply chain, or retail experience with supervisory and employee development responsibilities.
• Experience managing workloads and participating in employee hiring and promotion processes.
• Strong decision-making, planning, organizational, communication, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Valdosta, Georgia, United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, logistics, management, or operations management.
• Three years of supply chain experience supervising and developing managers or supervisors.
• Experience as a Walmart Supply Chain manager, Area or Operations Manager, or Load Manager.
